By candlelight, let’s slow down and chat.
Today marks Day 15 of our 31 Days of Warmth — Countdown to Christmas, and I wanted to pause the hustle of the season for something a little more personal.
Instead of talking at you, I thought it would be nice to talk with you. So today’s post is a cozy Q&A — a moment to answer a few of the questions I’m asked most and share a little more of the heart behind Ignite The Flame Candle Company.
Let’s begin 🤍
🕯️ Q: How did Ignite The Flame Candle Company begin?
Ignite The Flame started from a deep love of home, comfort, and meaningful moments. Candles have always been part of my life — not just as fragrance, but as memory markers.
They’ve been there during quiet mornings, family gatherings, and seasons when slowing down was necessary for healing. I wanted to create candles that didn’t just smell beautiful, but felt like something — warmth, familiarity, and peace.
✨ Q: What inspires your candle scents?
Every scent begins with a feeling.
Sometimes it’s inspired by a holiday tradition, a cozy kitchen, or the calm of a winter night. Other times it’s a memory — something nostalgic and comforting.
I spend a lot of time making sure each blend tells a story. I want every candle to feel intentional, balanced, and inviting — never overpowering, always comforting.
🤍 Q: What does “31 Days of Warmth” mean to you?
To me, warmth is more than a season — it’s a choice.
31 Days of Warmth is about slowing down during a time of year that can feel rushed and overwhelming. It’s about choosing small moments of comfort — lighting a candle, sipping something warm, or simply being present.
Warmth looks different for everyone, and that’s what makes it so special.
🎄 Q: Do you have a favorite candle this time of year?
That’s always a hard one because my favorites tend to shift with my mood and the season.
In winter, I’m naturally drawn to scents that feel cozy, nostalgic, and comforting — blends that make a house feel like home. But truly, my favorite candle is always the one that brings someone else a moment of calm or joy.
🕯️ Q: What do you hope people feel when they light one of your candles?
I hope they feel comfort.
I hope they feel grounded.
I hope they feel a sense of calm, even if just for a moment.
If one of our candles becomes part of someone’s routine, a holiday tradition, or a quiet evening at home — that means everything to me.
